IBM has announced the software withdrawal for IBM Cognos Series 7 V7.5 in a phased approach, with effective dates being April 15, 2015, December 30, 2016 and April 30, 2018. See the IBM Software Withdrawal Notice Cognos V7.5 for details.

You can take advantage of your option to trade up your licenses (covered by a valid Subscription and Support agreement) to Cognos Business Intelligence licenses and receive 12 months Subscription and Support on the Cognos Business Intelligence trade-up licenses, as well as continued support on your traded Cognos Series 7 licenses through to the original expiry date of the Subscription and Support agreement on those licenses. Your Subscription and Support renewal anniversary date is the best time to migrate, in order to maximize your investment in your IBM Cognos licensing.
