Gartner recently issued new Magic Quadrant 2017 Data Science and BI & Analytics Reports.  Here is a summary of the exciting insights on IBM from both reports:

IBM is in the top right quadrant (“leader) for Data Science Platforms
IBM’s strengths: customer base and continued innovation, commitment to open source, support for a range of data types (many streams and large data sets), model management and governance (i.e. SPSS).

IBM is bottom right (“visionary”) for BI & Analytics
IBM’s strengths: smart capabilities – fast insights for non-data science skilled users, machine learning automation, strongest vision in market (constantly innovating and pushing market), ease of use, business benefits achieved.
